MWG became a Beaufort aluminium fabricator after switching from another systems company last year and set up its manufacturing facility for the Advanced Plus system with a view to winning BBA. “We’ve been working towards Certification from day one and Beaufort has supported us throughout the accreditation procedure with invaluable advice on production and quality control,” says MWG’s Director, Manj Sanghera.

In addition, MWG was able to fast track to BBA Certification because Beaufort’s Advanced Plus aluminium window system has already undergone extensive weather testing to BS 6793 and is security tested to BS 7950. Manj continues: “The whole process only took us about eight months because the individual window components do not need to be tested in addition to the manufactured window – saving both time and cost. Winning BBA approval for our Advanced Plus aluminium windows will open up even more new business opportunities for us, particularly within commercial new build.”

Beaufort’s Advanced Plus is the first aluminium system in the UK market to achieve an ‘A’ Window Energy Rating with a double glazed unit. All window sections feature a polyamide thermal barrier to enhance thermal efficiency, making it possible to achieve an overall U-value as low as 1.3 w/m2K.
